In this ongoing quickfire ‘behind the scenes’ series, we meet FINkit people from across the business, giving you a flavour of who we are and what we do.
Tugba Yanikoglu works with the FINkit team, as the Development Team Lead and is based in our MEA offices in Istanbul.
1. In a nutshell, what’s an average day for you?
My average day as Development team Lead is most notably about guiding my team. Guidance that I give in all areas so that we deliver working software that follows FINkit principles. I am involved in development, design, code reviews, test and documentation. I work on refining backlog stories to ensure in effect there are ready stories for delivery. Additionally, helping with planning and task distribution to continue working effectively.
2. What’s the best thing about FINkit?
FINkit is built on cutting-edge technology that makes it easier to develop, test, run and manage applications without dealing with complexity of infrastructure details. Bounded context creator, automated tests and continuous delivery pipeline speed-up software development hence adding value. In addition, FINkit’s design first approach reveals the resources and value propositions behind it.
3.What makes you want to come to work every day?
I enjoy being a part of the FINkit team. There is opportunity for continuous improvement and as a result, it is exciting to learn new things every day.
4. Why are FINkit people different to anyone else?
The people at FINkit are improvement-focused and therefore they are always open to new ideas. They are problem solvers, very supportive to each other. But most of all they are all so much fun.
5. What’s your go-to downtime activity?
I do ‘Reformer Pilates’ and I like healthy cooking. Creating healthy recipes is something that I really enjoy. Additionally, I have a recipe blog and I enjoy having food conversations with my followers.
